Lifecycle & Email Marketing pricing

What this costs across the US market

These are typical American market ranges, not our quote for your job — we have not seen your files. They are here so you can tell a reasonable number from an unreasonable one, including when the unreasonable one is ours.

Typical US market ranges for Lifecycle & Email Marketing
Type of work Typical range What that buys
Conversion research Analytics, session review, expert review and user testing, with prioritized findings.
Ongoing CRO program Continuous research, test design, build and analysis.
Paid media management Campaign management, creative testing and reporting reconciled against your own orders.

What actually moves the price

Traffic volume
The hard constraint. Low traffic means tests take longer or cannot reach significance at all, and no amount of budget changes that.
Number of funnels and markets
Each one is its own research, its own tests and its own sample size problem.
Research depth
Analytics review is days. Moderated user testing with recruitment is weeks and has a participant cost.
Development capacity
Tests have to be built and winners have to be shipped. Without engineering time you get a document.
Media spend under management
Paid work is usually priced as a percentage of spend or as a flat retainer against it.
Measurement complexity
Multiple platforms, offline conversions and consent requirements make attribution genuinely hard and genuinely expensive to get right.

How long it takes

Typical phase durations
PhaseUsual duration
Data audit 1–2 weeks
Research 3–5 weeks
First test live Week 5–7
Test duration 2–6 weeks each, set by traffic and not by preference
Meaningful program results 4–6 months

Before you ask

The questions that come up on most lifecycle & email marketing inquiries.

Why do you want our order data?
Because platform-reported conversions are not the same number as sales, and optimizing to the wrong one is how a year of decisions gets built on a fiction. We have seen a platform report forty percent more conversions than the order system — duplicate tags, a misconfigured thank-you page and a session dropping across domains. Reconciling the two is the first thing we do.
How long does a test need to run?
Long enough to reach the sample size calculated before it started, and in whole business weeks so day-of-week effects cancel out. Stopping a test the day it looks good is the most common way noise gets shipped as a result. We agree the stopping rule in advance, and we do not move it.
We do not get much traffic. Can we still test?
Often not, and that is worth knowing before you pay for a testing program. At low volume a two percent lift is undetectable however long you wait. What works instead is qualitative research — expert review and watching real people attempt the task. It answers why rather than how much, and at low traffic it is the better spend.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
We quote a flat monthly fee against the spend under management rather than a percentage, because a percentage rewards us for spending more of your money. There is no markup on media. You pay the platforms directly and see exactly what they charged.
Will tracking still work with consent banners?
Configured properly, yes — and configured to respect consent rather than to route around it, which several state privacy laws now make an enforcement matter. Expect some measurement loss. We would rather model it honestly than give you a number that looks complete and is not.
Is the free trial really free?
Yes. What the trial covers differs by discipline — two images, a 30-second cut of your own footage, one mastered episode, a technical review of a page you already own — and each service page says which one applies. No card, no invoice, no subscription that starts quietly afterward. It is done by the same people who would do the paid job, to the same standard, because a trial that flatters the work is useless to both of us.
How fast can you turn work around?
Most image work comes back in 6 to 24 hours. Video and 3D depend on the shot and the length, and we tell you the turnaround in the quote rather than after you have committed. If you have a deadline that cannot move, say so in the brief. We will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
How do you price the work?
By what the job actually involves, not an average. A clipping path around a box and one around a bicycle are different amounts of work, and so are a two-minute explainer and a two-minute product film. The unit differs by discipline: per image, per finished minute, per episode, per product, per project, or monthly for retained work. Every service has a pricing page with our published rates and the US market ranges beside them, so you can sanity-check any quote including ours.

Want the real number rather than a range?

Send the brief and a couple of sample files. You will get a fixed price rather than an estimate, usually within one business day, and nothing starts until you say yes.
