Technical SEO pricing

Technical SEO is priced per audit, or monthly for retained work. Everything below is either a published rate of ours or a US market range — not one of them is a number invented to fill a gap.

What this costs across the US market

These are typical American market ranges, not our quote for your job — we have not seen your files. They are here so you can tell a reasonable number from an unreasonable one, including when the unreasonable one is ours.

Typical US market ranges for Technical SEO
Type of work Typical range What that buys
Technical audit A full crawl, prioritized findings, and a plan your developers can actually execute.
Ongoing retainer Continuous technical work, content production, internal linking and reporting.
Content production Researched, sourced, written by a named person, and edited. Cheaper than that and you are buying volume, not writing.

What actually moves the price

Site size and condition
Auditing two hundred URLs is not auditing two hundred thousand, and a site with years of accumulated redirect chains takes longer than a clean one.
Competition
Some terms are contested by organizations with large teams and long histories. That does not make them unwinnable; it makes them slow and expensive.
How much content is needed
Content is usually the largest line in an SEO budget, and it is the line most often underestimated.
Development capacity
Recommendations only count when they ship. An engagement with no engineering time behind it produces documents, not results.
Number of markets and languages
Each locale is its own research, its own content and its own technical setup.
Starting position
A site with existing authority moves faster than a domain registered last month. Both can work; they are different timelines.

How long it takes

Typical phase durations
PhaseUsual duration
Audit and baseline 2–4 weeks
Technical fixes shipping From week 3, ongoing
First measurable movement Typically 3–6 months, and anyone promising faster is guessing
Content compounding 6–12 months before a library starts pulling its weight
Review cadence Monthly reporting, quarterly strategy

Before you ask

The questions that come up on most technical seo inquiries.

Can you guarantee a ranking?
No, and nobody outside the search engine honestly can. Anyone promising a position is either mistaken or selling you something. What we commit to is work you can check: technical findings tied to published guidance, changes tracked with dates so movement can be attributed, and reporting reconciled against your own analytics and revenue rather than a rank tracker.
How long before we see anything?
Technical fixes can move things within weeks. Content compounds over months — typically three to six before meaningful movement, and nine to eighteen before a library pulls its weight. We would rather tell you that at the start than book a three-month engagement that was never going to show a result in three months.
Should we delete old content?
Often, yes, and it is frequently the fastest improvement available. An estate that only ever grows gets judged on its weakest pages, and two of your own pages competing for the same query means neither wins. An audit records a decision against every page — keep, merge, rewrite, redirect or retire — and merging is usually more valuable than writing something new.
Do you do link building?
We earn references by making things worth referencing, and we will not buy links. Paid link schemes are against published search engine guidelines and the risk lands on your domain, not ours. That makes authority work slower and less predictable than the alternative, and we would rather be straight about that than promise a number.
What access do you need?
Read-only Search Console and analytics to start, which is enough for an audit. Implementation needs either a developer on your side or access to ship changes ourselves. Recommendations only count when they ship. An engagement with no engineering time behind it produces documents, not results.
Is the free trial really free?
Yes. What the trial covers differs by discipline — two images, a 30-second cut of your own footage, one mastered episode, a technical review of a page you already own — and each service page says which one applies. No card, no invoice, no subscription that starts quietly afterward. It is done by the same people who would do the paid job, to the same standard, because a trial that flatters the work is useless to both of us.
How fast can you turn work around?
Most image work comes back in 6 to 24 hours. Video and 3D depend on the shot and the length, and we tell you the turnaround in the quote rather than after you have committed. If you have a deadline that cannot move, say so in the brief. We will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
How do you price the work?
By what the job actually involves, not an average. A clipping path around a box and one around a bicycle are different amounts of work, and so are a two-minute explainer and a two-minute product film. The unit differs by discipline: per image, per finished minute, per episode, per product, per project, or monthly for retained work. Every service has a pricing page with our published rates and the US market ranges beside them, so you can sanity-check any quote including ours.

Want the real number rather than a range?

Send the brief and a couple of sample files. You will get a fixed price rather than an estimate, usually within one business day, and nothing starts until you say yes.
